1. What specific things in the course were most helpful for doing well on the

            AP Chem Exam?

Labs – helped a lot in the FRQ section.

Tests

My review book (such as Princeton, BarronÕs), and all the FRQ review questions.

The Olympiad exams.

Fast Track to a 5 Book and the handouts in class.

Reading notes.

AP Review FRQs.

Nicenet.

Review FRQs throughout the whole year.

Tutoring outside of class.

The repetition of different FRQ topics helped the best.

The textbook solution manual.

The practice exams we took in class showed my strengths & weaknesses so I didnÕt need to study everything.

2. What suggestions do you have to help students in the future to do well on the

            AP Chem Exam?

Actually READ the book when taking notes.

Always read the chapter and learn to use all the formulas.

Read the bookÉhonestly!

Do all the homework thoroughly.

If you are a first time AP course taker, and you were recommended to take the class, be the hard worker you were before the recommendation.  DonÕt slack around and donÕt be afraid to ask questions, even sill ones as long as it relates to the class.

Do your homework and your labs.

Must devote a lot of time into it and must do homework daily.  Stay committed, donÕt panic!

Pay attention in class.  Trying to read the chapter by yourself is really hard without Mrs. TaylorsonÕs explanations.

Pay attention!

Study & understand.  DonÕt copy the solutions manual.

Keep up & do homework.

Do extra practice and review several days a week.

Take the plugs off your PC and TVs and give them to your parents.

Devote your time, ask questions.  Consult other sources (review books) during the whole year along side the AP Chem book.  STUDY

DonÕt get lazy, do well in class, and the exam will be easy.

Read, reread, and practice the examples.

I studied for the AP Exam a lot.  I went over all the difficult topics.  I reviewed all of the chapters that we had done.

Just do the work.  ItÕs different from a regular class, so one does have to work a lot.  It will be tough, but just work hard.

Constant review during the year.

Read, read, and read.  Take good notes, detailed and adequate.  Follow along the examples in the book to understand the approach to the problems.  Try to understand the chemistry; donÕt memorize too much.

DonÕt give up half way.  Do the HW and pay attention in class.

Read the textbook.

Make sure to ask for help.

DonÕt procrastinate!  And read all your chapters!

Read! Read! Read!

You have to read the book, no excuses!

Do the best you can on the practice Olympiad exams.

Read your book every day and work on the homework problems daily and that will require at least two hours.

DonÕt just read the book for superficial notes, read it deeply, a few times if that is what it takes.

Read the book carefully and take notes on important things and not just taking notes just to get it over with.

Study hard and if you do well on the class tests then you will do well on the AP.

Read the book and also read those supplementary books for clear understanding!

DonÕt procrastinate!  Pay attention in class and the class will not be impossible.
