Date of Exam: March __th, 2010 after school in our classroom between 3-5pm.
The Exam is a two-hour multiple-choice test. It is designed to test the student's knowledge of a wide variety of topics in chemistry. Students are strongly encouraged to prepare for the test by reviewing previous years' exams. The test essentially covers the same material each year.
The Local top scorers will be nominated to compete in the National Exam. The top 20 national winners will be invited to attend an all expenses paid two-week study camp in June at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At this camp, 4 finalists will be selected from the US Team to represent the US in the International Chemistry Olympiad in July.
In late May or June, the annual High School Awards Night will recognize and honor the Local winners, the National Olympiad nominees, the individual school high scorers, and their teachers.
